DIPLOMATIC ART 2014, Calpe Gallery, last event, retrospective exhibition



The last event, the retrospective exhibition of the DIPLOMATIC ART 2014 pilot edition, Timişoara, was opened at the Calpe Gallery on Friday, December 12th, 2014. Organized by the Union of Artists, Timisoara branch (UAPT) and financed by the Local Council Timisoara, the project presents works of visual artists from countries that have General and Honorary Consulates and Timisoara. The retrospective exhibition presented a selection of over 150 works signed by 40 artists from 19 countries, including Romania (paintings, graphics, sculpture, digital art, photography, video-art) on display in the 6 previous exhibitions opened from September to December 2014: Olof Ahlström (Sweden), Aranyi Sándor (Hungary), Marian Bahovski (Bulgaria), Clemens Beungkun Sou (South Korea), Nikolay Bojinov (Bulgaria), Míriam Cantera (Spain), Radostina Doganova (Bulgaria), Els Geelen (The Netherlands), Remo Giatti (Italy), Viktoria Georgieva (Bulgaria), Bea Gschwend (Germany), Christo Guelov (Bulgaria), Inga Heamägi (Estonia), Josef Jelínek (Czech Republic), Christine Kertz (Austria), Barbora Kicovová (Czech Republic), Kovács Péter /Pet’R (Hungary), Lóránt János Demeter (Hungary), Michel Mazzoni (France), Rithika Merchant (India), Nagy Gábor (Hungary), Simona Nuţiu Gradoux (France), Elisabeth Ochsenfeld (Germany), Beatriz Palomero (Spain), Miroslav Pavlovič (Serbia), Ján Petrovič (Czech Republic), Popovics Lőrinc (Hungary), Xhezair Rexhepi (Macedonia), Sejben Lajos (Hungary), Alžběta Skálová (Czech Republic), Szabó Tamás (Hungary), Juan Valladares (Peru), Ivan Vasilcin (Romania), Végh András (Hungary), Nicolae Velciov (Romania), Vladimír Vilimovský (Czech Republic), Nahla Weslati (Tunisia), Vladimir Yosifov (Bulgaria), Simion Zamşa (Moldova), Teodor Zbârnea (Moldova).

Alongside the works of each participating artist at the previous events, the Diplomatic Art 2014 retrospective exhibition also presented a selection of video-art by the Bulgarian artist Christo Guelov.
