MARTIIN U WALTZ - Berlin 18 meets Timişoara 21


Tuesday April 17th, 2018, at 16:00 at the General Consulate of Germany in Timişoara was opened the street photography exhibition "Berlin 18 trifft Temeswar 21/ Berlin 18 meets Timişoara 21", by Martin U Waltz https://streetberlin.net/. The event was organized by the General Consulate of Germany in Timisoara, with the curatorial support of the Art Diplomatic Association. Curator Renée Renard.




 
Martin U Waltz is a Berlin based street photographer very actively involved in creative, editorial and educational projects. Besides his own street-photography projects he is working together with writer Dirk Könnecke on Violens.org (an art project on violence), he is a founding member of the Berlin1020 Photography Collective, co-founder and editor of The German Street Photography Site, and is also conducting workshops on street photography. His work has been shown in exhibitions in New York, London, Dublin, Rome, Budapest, Bucharest, Constanta, Berlin. Martin obtained numerous prizes at prestigious international competitions: Fine Art Photography Awards, Moscow International Foto Awards, Sony World Photography Awards, Prix de la Photographie Paris.

DIPLOMATIC ART 2018 (3)



„Casa e trasloco”, the 3rd edition of the DIPLOMATIC ART project (curator Maria Orosan Telea), 2017 / 2018, is organized by the Diplomatic Art Association and the Honorary Consulate of Italy in Timișoara and marks 300 years since the birth of Francesco Griselini (1717-1787).
The first phase of the project, Casa e trasloco (1) took place in July 2017 - a study tour where the Prin Banat Association guided the anthropologist Francesco Marano (Matera) and the artist Sandro Bracchitta (Ragusa, Sicily) „In the Footsteps of Griselini”.
The second phase, Casa e trasloco (2), continued with the exhibition opening and conference of the anthropologist Francesco Marano in Timișoara, on November 2nd and 3rd, 2017.

Casa este trasloco (3), an exhibition of Sandro Bracchitta in Timișoara in 2018, will close the Diplomatic Art 3rd edition, on April 5th 2018.
